Since the beginning of the year, Phoenix SDS has received many requests for information concerning the production of lightweight block from companies located in India.

While India is a large market, it seems that there are few companies making lightweight block successfully in India. There are several issues: 1) Confusion about what equipment is needed to make lightweight blocks; 2) Water is a significant expense - so how can its’ consumption be minimized; and 3) sand is not available all year round.

With K Block technology, we can successfully solve all three issues. Firstly, small and medium plants in India can start without steam curing equipment; and, 2) & 3) can be overcome using processes similar to those we currently do other countries.
